Hi Steve,
Sorry you didn't have the time to wander north a bit from McCormick Place. A company I used to be associated with made lots of commercial kitchen equipment and I used to go to the Restaurant show there. What a blast.

This year the weather has been on a yo-yo string, but the overall effect is that we're about a month ahead of usual. I need to cut the lawn for the second time and usually I don't cut it until May. My friend has a nine hole golf course and has had people playing for over a month already. He considers any traffic this time of year just pennies from heaven.

I have a Newport history on Home Depot. I don't own the stock, but have had it on a watch list that I called "the million dollar portfolio" for those of you that used to hang out at the Money Talk BBs. I'll post those nice graphs for this week's dose of good news.

Speaking of good news, I finally updated the Weekly Newsletter today. Sorry for the delay. I've been messing around with W95 trying to figure out why FILES are now FOLDERS and why the START-UP MENU doesn't have to match the FOLDERS DIRECTORY. Boy am I ever glad I upgraded!!

Anyway, if you want to see what's up with the IDIOT WAVE, just drop by:
execpc.com

I'm off to the land of Cleve tomorrow, so I don't know if I'll get much posting in until Thursday.

Best regards, Tom

Hi Steve- I figured that the graphic SI has on their opening page includes Jill... I have her pegged as the chic with the long hair and dark glasses. I think you were out of town at the time, but a few months back when they had the Time article on SI, I sent a note off to her. She was nice enough to offer an SI T-shirt. Doubled my sportswear wardrobe, so she ranks pretty high in my book! :-)

So you haven't figured out yet that you need to edit all your bookmarks to include your password in the properties, huh? It's the only way you can keep track of the proliferation of IDs and p/w using Netscape as long as site managers insist on dictating how you need to construct them. I vaguely remember there's a way to avoid the debacle you had... something about a W-95 fix for p/w files. You might want to go check the Microsoft site and see what they have for W-95 OS fixes.

I guess you're suggesting that I've been remiss in that I haven't even looked up the symbol for Home Depot much less checked out fundys. Ok, ok... I'll go check. Guess that's a "strewie", huh? :-)

Now I've really got to show my ignorance... I thought all this time that deBeers was privately held! Bummer. That's another strewie. Hmmm. I think there's a pattern here. :-)

Bruce

Hi everyone, I'm borrowing a bit of time on a friend's computer while here visiting Cleveland. Saw an Indians game last night. Fun!

I'll catch up again tomorrow. Sorry I didn't get the Home Depot graphs up before I left. Right images, wrong software to capture them! Not lots of buys on the graph since 1994, but nice Sales and vealies along the way. I'll get those up on the AIM site upon my return.

My ADCT, ASND and JBIL are moving nicely. Also APCC has managed to stay above $30 this round. I don't have very many shares of it, but enough to keep me interested. Got HAMMERED on IKN this AM when they "disappointed" wall st. Down $9 at the open!! Well, I have a feeling that I may have bought some today. It also makes me feel better about the sale AIM did for me at about $35 recently!!

News on JBIL is that they are moving to the NYSE.

Best regards, Tom in the land of Cleve
