Doug, nothing wrong with taking the writeoff, it is the correct thing to do. The fact that the market may ignore the writeoff is a function of the euphoria of this current bull market. In other times the writeoff would have been considered significant, but not today.

Doug, that is indeed the question. The horizon to 2-3 years out is crystal clear. However, there is an absolute void beyond that. What is Citrix going to do to maintain their status a high-growth company? We're taking about bright people who understand their business and have a proven record of success and innovation. However, will the market indefinitely continue to support a high PE without knowing what lies beyond that horizon?

That should be the topic for discussion, but we have no fodder provided by the company to toss about.
