David,
PPOD is an online, interactive grocery store. Log on and key in how many bananas and what brand of coffee you need. Next thing you know somebody's knocking on your door with your groceries, "you did order the bruised, black bananas didn't you?" They charge a huge premium for the delivery service and then sell your name and address to anyone that'll pay to find out who's been buying bananas and/or coffee.

But they said AMZN would never catch on either....Alski

O.T.P.S. Had to look up how to spell banana. Did y'all know that a banana is a tropical treelike HERB; or, of course, the fruit from said herb. An herb, who'd a thunk it!

PPOD...

David:

PPOD is Peapod... They have a web site where people can order supermarket type items for direct delivery to the home... There are two drawbacks... An 8.95 service charge and they are only regional... Another internet supermarket called NetGrocer is national and doesn't have a service charge, but they are not public yet...
