sloop doggy dog,

With all the action in deepwater, is it the increased/better seismic technology that is driving the interest or is "going deep" the simply next frontier?

Now just a minute , Big Doggie. You say -- ... What if these wells are dryer than a snuff box? ... If you are a drilling contractor you might want to wait a bit to see if there are any discoveries in these [deep] water depths before building capacity to meet phantom demand. ... With 3-D surveys and imaging there is no more guessing, I'm told. There is oil in them deep waters that have been surveyed. No more than 40% dry holes these days, I'm told. Are these 'facts' not so?
