Just to clarify things for the thread, a "hitch" is when a short term indicator makes a small reversal to the upside or downside. A "hinge" is when any term indicator decelerates during either an up or down trajectory. A positive hitch is up. A negative hitch is down. A positive hinge is deceleration from downward trajectory. A negative hinge is deceleration from an upward trajectory. I believe what you refer to as a hitch is actually a negative hinge which may only be a reloading of the short term indicator depending on the strength of the intermediate term.
