Nancy, I talked to Schwab today because I was having problems executing a trade today, and read somewhere they were having problems yesterday. the guy on the phone said that i should bookmark the Schwab home page and then go to logon. i had bookmarked the logon page and he said if the server you bookmarked is having problems you wouldn't necessarily get routed to another server. he strongly recommended that you don't bookmark the logon page. just thought you might be interested. i'm going to change and see if it makes any difference. Nancy I have been reading your posts re Brown, and I cam across this one. I use PBS - now Dreyfus, and I have a totally different experience confirmations NEVER seem to post, and the few times I have used them recently I have had to call their phone (perpertual wait) to get the confirmation, even then sometimes it takes a few minutes (this is after waiting 5 or 10 for the webb update) so I think they have gotten worse I have just gone to the Brown page (not executed any orders) and found it loads much faster than Dreyfus about order execution I dont know Bob
