Jane - I bet I've read four thousand posts on this thread and I can't remember ever seeing God mocked. Quite a number of statements by humans were mocked, but that is quite another thing. A considerable number of comments, largely by a single poster, presented themselves as eminently mockable, and deserving of mockery, for their exclusivity, their divisiveness, their Us=Good & Them=Evil sort of attitude. The time for this kind of thing has passed, imho. It's going to be more difficult to get a good pogrom going in a wired and informed world - the post to follow this one could be from a left-handed Reformed Quaker of Mongolian extraction posting from Timbuktou, for all we know. Will he/she mock God? ... I doubt it - nobody else did. The belief structure of the great majority of posters here looks very very good on them - they express joy and elation and love for life and their fellow man - not much wrong with that. But to start claiming that the dominant religion of the dominant nation of the planet is being victimized by the 'Talmudic Babylonian Jewish Satanists' - wow - now if that isn't 'mocking God', then what is?
