Fibre Channel Disk Array connectivity solution for Sun Microsystem's UltraSPARC(TM) PCI workstations and servers.

To protect against drive problems, the array will continue to operate after any single drive failure - with no loss in performance. Replacement of any redundant component, such as a disk drive, power supply or fan, can be performed while the array remains running. As a standard, Fibre Channel has tremendous flexibility and supports both optical and copper implementations. Fibre Channel topologies include point-to-point, Arbitrated Loop and switched fabrics, with cable lengths up to 10 kilometers.
