Dan, I know exactly how you feel. I am at the point that just about anything--no matter how far-fetched--would not surprise me. If you told me Mohamed was posting on the SI under an assumed name, I would not doubt it! BTW, Mohamed did take his new laptop computer with him--complete with a modem and dial-out capability from his cellular phone which he took, also; he also had a account at prodigy: email address was jmaz05a@prodigy.com [ Try it, it comes back as : Your message sent to prodigy.com had invalid recipients. The following address(es) are invalid:jmaz05a - User Unknown] [And, the last known telephone number I had for Mohamed is in Costa Rica. Mohamed was not supposed to be there, but he was getting fascimiles sent to him--as of last November]! Don't worry, the FBI already has all of this information, compliments of yours truly! Let me know if you'd like to fax a letter to Mo.

My only advice is for everyone to take what they know and make certain the appropriate authorities hear them. Write letters, make phone calls, etc. This is what I've done. I have no loyalty to Mohamed, Mike, Emery, or anyone at GIFS. I have not hid anything, nor attempted to protect anyone. [My reasoning is that if they're not guilty of anything, then they should not need protection].

As best I can tell, GIFS was the culmination of many years of planning; Mohamed had everything in place to make his exit--and this he did. Others played important roles in helping him achieve this; some played voluntarily, some were coerced, and others didn't have a clue as to what the outcome would be of their immediate actions.

I don't think the bad guys will ever blend in with the good guys--at least not in my book. There is a difference in someone losing money through a bad investment and someone losing money because their investment was a scam from the start.

Mohamed was at the helm of GIFS, but he did not act alone. I'm hoping the next round of hearings will concentrate on his accomplices. Those of us who have been subpoened are supposed to keep that fact confidential. But, I can tell you that we will know exactly who or what is the focus in this is the case within a couple of weeks--we'll know exactly where the SEC's interest lies.

BTW, are you aware that all of the indictments against Mohamed are for incidents that allegedly happened before Mike Rehtorik came on the scene? This is not to say that Rehtorik is innocent, it's just that the Feds started with indictments against Mohamed--and used incidents which happened prior to Mike's employment with GIFS. However, I have been told that Mohamed's indictments were only the first round--meaning others would likely follow. Let's hope that by May 1st, we can see this happen!
