PSINet Reports Revenues Up 74% in the First Quarter.... Property and equipment, net of accumulated depreciation and amortization, increased $40.0 million to $135.6 million at March 31, 1998. The increase was primarily attributable to the acquisition of iSTAR and capital expenditures for the purchase of MAX TNT modems from Ascend Communications (Nasdaq: ASND - news) to be deployed to support the Carrier and ISP business unit.
