Dan, does your TA work for those internet stocks; ie, MARG, AMEN, DISK, FVHI, KTEL, etc? Looks like all the action is in the net stocks today. For example, MARG was traded only 100 shares days ago is traded 8 million share today. KTEL declared 2 for 1 split. I know it is very risky to trade them now, but I hate to miss the action. What is your advice? Should I take a short-term long? Amazing, even the dust can turn to the gold instantly just because of a bit of "internet connection". I have notice that the trend of explosive upside move of those "blue-chip" internet stocks like Yahoo, Excite, Infoseek start to change and turn. Will those third-tier stocks take a lead or the whole sector will tank together?

ZSTOCK PICK CONTEST-Entries due by 5-1-98

Zstock Contest Rules

1. Contest begins at the market open 5-4-98 and ends on 6-30-98 at the market close. Beginning price will be the price of the stock at the close on 5-1-98.
2. Everyone is welcome to enter and this includes lurkers and or non-SI members..
3. Two (2) stocks will be picked by each participant. Please make sure that your picks are quoted on Yahoo, since the daily updates are generated from this site.
4. The stock must be priced over $5.00, therefore no "penny" stocks.
5. A stock can not be sold once it has been entered into the contest, even if it no longer looks attractive to the contestant. This is a buy and hold contest.
6. This contest is not a reflection of one's trading abilities since stocks must be held throughout the duration of the contest.
7. Contestants are encouraged, but not required, to provide a short T/A (technical analysis) and or F/A (fundamental analysis) of their stocks. Basically a rationale as to why you picked this particular stock. Using the excuse that the dog dumped on the Wall Street Journal is not acceptable. <gg>
8. All persons entering must have their picks to Paul or posted on this board by 11:59 p.m. CST on 5-1-98. Any picks received after this deadline will be disregarded.
9. The winner of the contest will be the individual who has the largest percent increase in their two (2) stocks averaged together, at the end of the contest on 6-30-98.
10. The winner will be awarded a prize to be determined at a later date.

Please post your two (2) picks here to me or email to Paul at paulzim@abilene.com.
