that is just what I read..wish I could remember the site .. and what I was told

one thinking might be is that the
SPX is a broader market and thus giving a better indication of where the market is going to go....

think about it..why do you use the SPX and the SP8M to trade the oex

why dont you use the OEX in your system?

the advantage over the futures and using that as pricing was discussed here and looking at the PREMIUM etc......because it was something Camp discussed (i think that is what brought it up) but I dont remember the end result of that conversation.

OEX Pricing

I always thought they priced 'em off the futures as well, matter of fact I used to trade the options by watching the SPxx.

But I don't know anymore. They do not appear to much in "sync" since the split.
