Gordon: Currently $4 23/32 $4 13/16 on triple normal volume for this time of day. Your electrical storm has struck the 'ol transformer dead-center and is frying it as we speak. However, we appear to be off the low of $4 1/2 for the day, so it may yet end up the day above $5.
For what it's worth, if pending news is REALLY out there a'comin' then for GOD'S SAKE keep your stop losses MENTAL!!! Why mental? Because when you place a stop loss on the NASDAQ every MM and their mother can see it, so you're just begging them to swooooop that bid/ask down and take out your stop loss for a quickie bundle of cheapie shares. Meanwhile you eat the loss. I've seen this happen many times on the NASDAQ just day's/weeks prior to a company positive announcement. Now don't think I'm implying the MM's know something ahead of time; most probably they don't, but they'll most certainly be tuned to a company on the verge, and as that "on the verge" get's closer they're not above playing a wee few shenanigans. Of course, this presupposes that this dip wasn't for bad reasons...

Bottom line, when playing the NASDAQ keep those 'ol stop losses mental, unless you enjoy playing poker where your opponents can see your hand while you can't see theirs.

Regards!

John~
