NEC is not an OEM. It is just another licensee like Citizen to build Vapor! drives. No one to this day late in the game wants to actually buy Vapor! and put it it their products, be it a camera, PDA, whatever. NEC is not buying Vapor! drives. They are making them, just like Citizen.

This is yet another company Iomega that has to give potential profits away to if they sell Vapor! drives. Why do Iomaniacs celebrate this news?
