Lost a bit of my Green Blood Friday.

Getting a transfusion today, however. An early guess for puts might be Wednesday night/Thursday morning but we have to wait and see.

Too bad you can't get a cable modem, I don't recall ever having a problem.

I know how you feel about "working for a living". Been there, done that. Took a couple of years of getting beat up more days than not to get comfortable trading instead of doing the engineer thing with a regular check. Fortunately, I had bankrolled cash from part-time trading and then my wife inherited some money so the earlier times of "eating hard bread" were anything but.

But I have to make up some hard luck story for the grandkids, if I ever get them.

Good deal on the trip to NY. Let me know in AdVance so I don't make other plans. Offhand, the only time I'm out of town is late this month, early August, and the weekend after Labor Day.

Short term trade? Buy calls if the SPX takes out the intraday high and sell 'em near the close. I think if they get back up to the 1129 area they will try for a new record high. I'm already long but I have been selling into it, so I already have a profit. If SI did not go down I would have given you a pretty good suggestion, as it turned out, earlier.

AV, Did you participate in the Broadcom (BRCM) IPO ?

I know you are a big fan of PAIR. The founders of
Broadcom were the 2 Henry's who were also the
founders of PAIR. I think when you came out to
CA to visit PAIR, they were already gone and
had founded Broadcom.

BRCM was originally to be offered at $12, then it
came out at $24, but started trading at $70 until
it closed around $57.
