Ultra-preliminary earnings plays for week of April 27-May 1: April 27: SDLI, ADSI, CBS, OMTL, JDAS, SPF, EVI, WLFI, SAVLY April 28: SYMC, RON, CVTY, REMI, ACTN, TISX, GTRC, KELL, TWLB,MODT (2 internet stocks CKFR, CYCH) ,TSAI,ASI April 29: MDMD, CNC, TAXI, AOI, WAXS, April 30: NSOL, HOT, OCA, TRVS,AEII May 1: MYL, ASTX, These just came off the scans for fundamental and very preliminary technical analysis. I have to check the 'news' (product/market share, competition, sector favor, etc) more in-depth technicals. But some of you requested a list for feedback. If any of these are either watched by you here or you have any interesting details that could 'add' or 'detract' from their appeal as an earnings play.

BRKT still looks very strong to me. Has a nice interaction of technical strength and fundamental growth in the three digits. Profit taking today unless any news came out that I am unaware of. Next quarter estimated to be 100% increase in EPS versus July 1997. Next Fiscal year is projected to increase by 47% compared to last year. 4 Analyst revised their estimates upwards in the last 7 days and 3 in the last 30 days. Sales growth in the last quarter is above average though not spectacular. It's sector has climbed into favor in the last week and it's ERG has likewise improved dramatically. It's PE is rather high. BRKT has undergone a dramatic increase in price in the last 3 months.

re: TSCN, SEEK & Oil Drillers/Services.. watch list - PTEN, UTI, TMAR..still holding TMAR (avg. $20 3/4)will probably sell it by Friday.. SEEK - I'll play this again for today and thursday daytrade only before SEEK earning release... TSCN - the rumors circulating only came up w/ a possible of some kind of agreement w/ MARG and according to TSCN IR, they will release some kind of news before the week (everyone's expecting it Wed.)although they never mentioned the MARG agreement...My only conclusion why TSCN is up because of "MARG and internet related stock effect"..so it should have some gas left probably until thursday but I will sell it before SEEK release their earning .. additional comment about MARG & TSCN by clicking the link below...
