What happened at noon today??

The day started off reasonably strong but nothing special ... then it was like a gun went off and the spot price shot up - looks like its heading to 312+ an ounce.

Was there some news or are we witnessing the entry of some 600 pound gorilla?

Jim: Believe Peter was supposed to be at the Toronto Resource & Energy Conference with ended yesterday. See the SI site title "A Toronto Resource & Energy Conference April 19,20". There are a few summaries of the conference posted there.
