Has anyone considered that the real importance of the fnet
appointment is that WCOM now has their "man" in the drivers seat!

Next: Shift gears.

Looking forward to the first speeding ticket!!
Rick

I think there is more to today's announcement than yesterdays. Today's at least gives times places dates. Yesterdays's release has more of an account effect, they can now call what used to be "inter-company transfers" as "sales". Seems like money going back and forth but no "wealth" being created.

Regarding today's release, and maybe I am not remembering correctly, but didn't Frank say last November he would have 25 cities (or almost) up and running by the end of 1997? Am I missing something or are we now saying we will be so aggressive as to add another 25?
I am guessing that this means 10-20 per city rather than just 1 per city, but still... ??

I agree with your analysis William, but, using your scenario, what are the FTEL shareholder's getting in this "spin-off"?? Based on your discussion we should be getting shares of FNET...I don't see where that's happening.

In a nut shell, if FNET is a subsidiary of FTEL, FTEL can't just spin it off without compensation. Future sales of hardware is not compensation for giving away an asset of the company.

Again, what is the compensation to FTEL??
