Cerritos College Creates Virtual Classrooms Using Scalable Multimedia Network Based On 3Com ATM Systems - 09:29 a.m. Apr 21, 1998 Eastern SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 21, 1998-- 3Com Network Delivers Campus and Remote Access Videoconferencing, Internet and Intranet Services to Los Angeles Community College's 22,000-Plus Students and Faculty 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq:COMS) today announced that Cerritos College, a full-service community college in Los Angeles County, is standardizing its new multimedia network on advanced 3Com systems. The new $3.8 million network provides voice, video and data services to 22,000 students and 500 faculty members at 15 times the speed of Cerritos College's previous configuration.
