Francis, We are in for a bllody summer in PCs. Get ready for a market crash mediated by low PC profits. Unit Sales will increase and margins will fall and people will go broke.

Pcs Pcs everywhere
The very margins shrink
There are no profits anywhere
No bucks to buy a drink.

Bill

Francis - Re: "Cybermax offers Intel:"

CyberMAX was AMD's first and best customer for their K6 - until AMD reneged on the 266 Mhz K6 and sold them "all" to Compaq and IBM. CyberMAX had to withdraw their K6 notebook PC since they couldn't get the chips that AMD had earlier promised them.

So, CyberMAX is now offering about 33 different models of Intel based PCs. Their sales people believe they will soon be offering an Intel-based notebook PC.

AMD went for the big-boys and let their "little" customers hang out to dry.

Guess who stepped in to help them out?
