re. low cost of PCs
So far this has enabled AMD to rapidly gain market share in the low end because of cheaper mfrg cost and infrastructure . The low end should continue in AMD's favour especially since Celeron is so slow.
The K6-3D should enable AMD to start taking a larger piece of the profit pie and at approx 4% of the market capln of Intel they do not have to generate enormous profits like Intel , just a nice juicy slice will do .
