Apple sold 650,000 units this last quarter. This include 350.000 G3. OK.
These units were sold mainly to Apple users as Anderson confirmed it during the call.

Selling 350.000 G3 to existing Macintosh users was easy. These users do not intend to change to Windows, they invest in software for the Mac and they were waiting for this speed for a while. For Q3 we will have the same customers: existing Mac owners upgrading their system.

This is not helping Apple to gain more market penetration. I am convinced that Apple can survive with their current customer base but the general opinions (and recognitions) about Apple will really change when Windows or other OS users will migrate to MacOS (or future Apple OS).

Is there an estimation about expecting future sales to:
1/ existing customers
2/ new users (not having a computer before)
3/ new customers migrating from other OS

Thanks,

Olivier
