Dan The difference comes into play when you have used the 150 maximum tickers in your watchlist in the real time program. When you then use Global Scan they do not give you any numbers only the names. They treat the scan as if you selected all the resultant stocks for your portfolio. If you want to use the scan you must first guess how many stocks they are going to come up with in the scan and then delete that many stocks from your portfolios or watchlists. They seem to think 150 stocks is all you can watch so thats all they need to provide. I am watching for one purpose or another over 400 stocks and most daytraders need a database that large. If you dont use up your alloted 150 tickers you will not have any problem in RT Global Scan. Keep in mind that Global Scans do not remain in your program after shut down and therefore do not require any ongoing bandwidth. It is for this reason that they should not be part of the "150". It is ludicrous to require the removal and then reloading of a unknown quantity of stocks in order to utilize the Global Scan feature if you dare have 150 stocks in various portfolios. I hope this somewhat explains my problem which might not be a problem for others. As a daytrader you experiment with many systems to find the one that best fits your style and you depend on your software program to help you in that quest. Real Time Trader has become so limited you can no longer depend on it to help you experiment and improve your performance. Flexible programs help you become a better trader and this program is being limited as to how much help you can expect from it. Its too bad because the software is excellent and they should be taking it too new heights rather than new lows. Good luck trading.
