Rick,

I spoke with Hal Smith, CIST's PR person, this morning. He stated that Cistron is now actively involved in cancer vaccine research, and that this work involves "an outside party." This is good news and is a natural follow-on to the reacquisition of the GTI (Sandoz/Novartis) sub-license for this research. Hopefully, news of a collaboration will be forthcoming.

Interestingly, today's (4/27) BioCentury has a lead article on cancer vaccine research. A number of companies/approaches are discussed. Clearly some of these approaches - as you've outlined previously - are relevant to CIST. This is a great 'primer.' I recommend that anyone interested go to the BioCentury website biocentury.com and request a copy.

Hal also mentioned that CIST's flu vaccine work with Novavax and their wound healing work are proceeding. Also, Galton and BlueStone are working closely and are in active discussions with a number of companies.

Rudy

Brucie:

I've been giving you rough outlines of how to proceed for about 16 months. Given your progress, I now realize that you perhaps need more specific instructions. Try something like this.....

(1) ask your secretary for instructions about phone dialing.
(2) get some of the many phone numbers that I've posted for to this thread for you.
(3) dial phone, asking secretary for assistance if necessary.
(4) say "Hi, may I speak with your V.P. Business Development, please?" If I have posted a contact name along with the phone number, ask your secretary for help with pronunciation and ask for that individual rather than for the V.P. Business Development.
(4a) pause, listen for response
(5) say "yes, I will hold, thank you".
(5a) listen for someone to talk
(6) say "hi, my name is Bruce Galton. I have patents and millions of bucks, would you like them?"
(6a) pause, listen for response
(7) say "good! Rick Harmon says that you have complementary technology and that you will deal for more than just the cash, that the patents and cash together are worth some bucks. What will you pay?"
(7a) pause, listen for response
(8) say "Deal!"
(8a) hand telephone receiver to secretary. She will do something called "hang up".
