Global DirectMail Unit Unveils PC Priced At $599

FLETCHER, Ohio (Dow Jones)--MidWest Micro Corp., a unit of Global DirectMail Corp. (GML), unveiled the Basics NJ-200X personal computer, which is priced at $599.

In a press release Tuesday, the company said the NJ-200X Workstation PC is based on Intel Corp.'s (INTC) 200-megahertz Pentium processor with MMX technology and includes Microsoft Corp.'s (MSFT) Windows 95.

Global DirectMail is a direct marketer of brand name and private-label computer and industrial products.

It seem DELL is going to blindly help Intel maintain its monopoly so Intel can jack up the prices of processors later on down the road. <G>
