1 Week 1 Stock contest's objective is to improve stock picking strategies and make this a cooperative environment so we all can win. I think allowing under $5 stocks would damage this objective and turn the game into a speculation game rather than a trading/investing one.
On top of all it is more challanging to find big winners above $5 and even more challenging above $10. Look at Nazdaq winners everyday. 90% of them are specuklative $5 and under stocks.

I oppose under $5 dollar stocks.
