Max,

I was going to do NAVR too today but SEVL swept me away. NAVR had 2886 ticks today and a per trade average of 918 shares. Still very much the small investor speculating wildly.

By comparison, look at DHI. 302 ticks today at an average of 3,124 shares per trade or generally ~$63,000 per trade. DEFINITELY NOT the small investor.

Average trade sizes usually tell me you is trading in a stock .... the lower the number ..... the smaller the investor. The smaller investor on the internet is subject to far more whims both buy and sell as opposed to the pros and thus creating some of these wild speculative moves.
