MSFT a short? I'm not too sure, they rarely disappoint.

Even if they did, it may take a couple of quarters to really convince the market of any slow-down in growth (witness any number of other stocks that have rallied on reduced earnings).

Wiley, I would not short MSFT. It is likely to go up even if earnings are down in this market.

I would not short MSFT. Great management, LOTS of cash, good resources, etc., etc., etc.

Now that I have said that, watch it drop.

BTW, I may be biased as I have been long on MSFT for a long time. Messed up badly once when I sold some calls and it just flat ran away from me.
