Any driller tomorrow morning! <G>

Seriously tho...when there is a big surge of buying at the end of the day or there is overnight news that really affects a stock then the stock will gap away on the open from the previous closing price...i.e., if a stock closed at 29 then opened the next day at 30 you would have a one dollar price gap. BTW, we here also know it works in reverse. If the nres is bad you can have a gap down!

If your request is serious on this thread loaded with Viagra jokes, a gap up is an open higher than the previous days high.

Opens higher than prior day's close, but not by a little, by a lot. So that a GAP appears on the charts.

PFE has been gapping up the last four sessions at least.

Tends to creatE the feeling, esp. if repeated, that the freight train is leaving the station. I.e., no matter how much it goes up in a day, you better get in before the close, cause tomorrow it might GAP UP.
