More info on cell phone GPS chip sets

Today on CNBC there was short segment on a company called Snap Track that is using GPS for locating cell phone users in emergencies.
According to the announcer Snap Track (a privately held company) is in testing with the major wireless carriers ie AirTouch/US West, Ameritech, AT&T Wireless etc. with their system. The link below (the only info I could find on Snap Track) has some comparison specs for major GPS manufacturers. A chip set in every cell phone is big business. Where does Trimble stand with this?

My understanding was that they were going to do this at the cell tower in order to include the installed base of phones. It looks like this has changed.
