Price is up, volume is up about 6x over average volume for past
ten days. No of trades 99 which is about 2 1/2 times the average
number of trades. Maybe it's that drilling that is doing it.
Something interesting enough to bring in buying but not
interesting enough to birng in major buying. When you said maybe
there were Manitoba results coming because SUF is up as well,
I thought that might be it. Good base metal news would move the
stock a bit but not in any spectacular way. A pipe would have
brought in a lot more buying than 225,000 shares. So, maybe you're
right. Be interesting to see what the bids are just before
market opening. Let's hope they do better than MMU. I see it dropped
to 20 cents today.

That's what a little bird with an English accent just told me - 'Drilling on the lake started this morning'. It was a bit delayed, as one of the drilling crew had a personal problem and had to go back to Yellowknife, but he was replaced and drilling is happening at this time.

This hole is a 400 metre vertical step-out hole, it should take about two and a half days. High temperature for the day is 8 or 9 degrees C, 'T-shirt' weather. Ice is good, no candling yet at all, there should be 3 weeks of good drilling left. The drilling budget is not written in stone, it can and will be extended if drilling weather continues. The drilling previously announced as planned for this season should be completed soon, no problem.

The holes following this one will generally be completed about one every 24 hours.

Security is tight - anyone using the radiophone has someone listening in. There has to be a radiophone by compensation regs, but it's not for calling your broker. I asked 'what happens when the core comes up kimberlite?' Answer - 'The office (Van) gets phoned, they discuss it with the joint venture partner (Aber), and a release is considered. With anything considerable, a trading halt is likely. Btw, the drillers can feel kimberlite, it is much softer and easier to drill than the country rock.'

There's other stuff happening with the company, other properties, the bulk samples, etc, but since my own focus is on Snap Lake, I didn't ask about them, or take notes on the asides regarding them.

....... cheers ............. macros
