In the past few months we have seen some amazing price appreciations- of which any analyst would have had difficulty predicting. some merit their lofty price as they will carve out a niche in the world of the internet and be rewarded, whereas others will not be so fortunate and will crumble as the internet scene shakes out. we do have a paradigm shift as rocketman stated and most of us (including me) have little idea as to how dramatically this technology will impact us and business. in general, some of the non-financial things i looks at are: strong leadership, a good business strategy and press releases to confirm proper implementation, 4 Ps of marketing (good product at a good price with good distribution channels and good advertising), a large market with a need and disposable income for the product, competitive situation, sustainability of current situation, market share and market share trend, substitutes, etc.
