>>Where is AIB's income coming from<<

Mike, they've been buying assets wholesale. A block of loans initially from Carolina Bank, their parent, and maybe more since then. They bought Premire bank which had about 88 mil in assets, sold off some but kept most.

Since they have no consumer loan products up and running yet they've got to buy loans from other banks to keep their deposits working.

Hopefully they'll be launching their consumer loan products soon to balance out their business plan.

Les

Mike:

<<Robert, do you work in the banking industry?>> ...far from it.

I'm into general construction. We have a family business of 30 yrs.
But, we do get to talk to a lot of interesting people, among them a few bankers. They make a TON of moolah... Don't know how they do it on the internet-yet.

However, let me know if you need one built...

Robert
