Yah yah yah. But what do you really know about Canadian markets?
They don't operate by cold hard logic. No market ever does. And the longer to get it into feasibility the better for the stock price, not the worse. With very few exceptions, and Hemlo was one, as feasibility draws near the stock has peaked. After they win that is time to play. Lots of excitement and mystery.

IF KRY were to lose its case in court, then there will be a significant drop in the share price, based on very high expectations of shareholders. I don't thing it will fall as low as $1, as there will always be some speculation built into the price. This being said, I would expect a recovery in the price of KRY, depending on its financial situation and ability to attract further financing.

At this time, I expect that the odds favor KRY, based on the accumulated legal documentation. Before a single oz of gold or copper ever gets pulled out of the ground, I figure quite some time will pass, perhaps 2 years if not more.

The key is to figure out if or when to sell. A positive court ruling would cause the stock to rise (some short covering), followed by profit taking. The risk factor is the timing of the announcement of other corporate developments which may sustain a high price. However, once investors realize that another series of events must take place before KRY can set foot on Las Cristinas, there is bound to be some disappointment that other events might not compensate.

As for Mr. Carson's estimate of $23.00USD, I don't think it came from him. A long time ago some people CLAIMED that Placer Dome made an offer to buy out KRY at this price. I don't think this was true. Mr. Carson does not, from what I have seen, make any buy-sell-hold recommendations and does not discuss valuations or price targets.

With respect to stock promotion on KRY, I have not seen evidence of it. On the contrary, KRY management does not communicate at all! I would hope that funneling of information through a single source, Mr. Carson will soon cease so that KRY can gain more credibility in the market. Otherwise, every rag on the street will continue to poke fun at KRY.

As for the final outcome, I believe , as I did one year ago, that the solution is for a win-win result for the people of Venezuela, PDG and KRY. The risk at this time is that it has taken so long and the elections are coming up so quickly (December 6, 1998) that something can go wrong for everyone. There is speculation that the ruling has been made and that the Supreme Court is waiting for the appropriate moment to make the announcement. I suspect that one or more events have yet to take place before this can happen, including an agreement between MEM, PDG and KRY. The New Mining Law is another event which may be holding things up.

I summary I doubt that KRY will gain 100% of Las Cristinas 4&6, but will be in a position to spend less time in court and get back to mining. Shareholders will benefit as a result.

PS. Mr. Charters has a similar valuation on KRY if there is a court victory, even if he can't tell the difference between write and rong!.
