Ram--- Good point on the Observer..... Not quite the WSJ is it? Any big news will make the wires from there,,,,,,,,,,,,eventually and often faster than I would have thought. If the news is not big it can be ignored from there easily also. Most of the recent news has been company releases as they did noy "qualify" to make the DOW News... calls were made to DOW News and explanations of policy given. I actually bought an OBSERVER from Barnes & Noble once.

At least it held 17 today..... it is not/has not performed as well as the rest of my Y2Ks from day 1--- but anything is possible yet.

Dear Ram: I have nothing personal against the selected CPA firm, but having been in the business for many years I know for a fact there is a BIG fall off in skills (particularly accounting and SEC skills) between say the top 8 firms and all the rest. For one thing they just dont do enough SEC work to get a reputation with the SEC or to keep current with the latest thinking there. For another it is difficult for them to hire superior talent. Finally, they dont usually have "deep pockets" so perhaps they are not as quality conscious as say a big 6 firm. Also, they dont have industry contacts which can be used to help their clients. As to Charlotte Observer, I didnt get the impression it was a press release as much as a newspaper reporters story. JDN
