s, wla is powerful stock but if you look at the pipeline, they dont have any potential killer drug in the pipeline. luckily they got lipitor which is eating mrk's lunch. lipitor was introduced about 12 months now so it has another 3-5 years growth before it levels off or someone else comes up another better cholestrol controll drug.

in this drug business, the best drug you can have is a killer drug that is a "maintenance drug", many many refills.

the potential abuse of viagra usage is worrisome but if pfe falls because of that, as wong said, would be an opp to add more - pfe's pipeline is very strong, 2 more new drugs this year and 3-5 ready for clincal trials in 1999.

<OT> Sonki, concerning WLA, it's a sad story for me. Sold at $148, bought something else, saw WLA drop to $109 and didn't have money to buy it back, and the rest is history. Now I just buy and hold good stocks. Picked up some INTC around 10 days ago when it was in the low 70's.

Pharms are great stocks to hold. Even when the market corrects, you know that if you hold on tight, some day in the future the stocks will recover.
