Matt, looks like you wound up alot of people's clocks ! Just to let ya' know, I appreciate your words on my post. I still consider myself a novice because I just started trading in Jan 96 and haven't had the best of luck of being in the right place at the right time, but today was different. My goal is to someday trade for a living, but will only do so when I'm successful at getting a 1/4 or 1/2 at least 70% of the time and have a larger kitty to play with (1000 shares at a time or more). I don't have any sour grapes feeling toward anyone daytrading whether they are short or long, because both sides of the coin were profitable depending on what time the long or short position was established. I guess being long is just natural for people because everyone is taught to think only in positive=good and neg=bad. Just another thought - Why is "ecnalubma" written on the front of some vehicles??????????????????? Have a good one.
