Joe, I've had many an arguement about this with a friend: Is buying and selling stocks gambling? I always said it wasn't, but in less than 1 year "investing" I realized that buying a stock is indeed a form of gambling, IMO. Even though most people try to do some form of "research" of varying degrees, sometimes it seems like buying the stock is not a lot different than buying a lotto ticket.

That said, I don't buy lotto tickets either, but I do happily buy stock and index options. -GG- But I won't say I'm not gambling.
