Re-post SI, FIBR, 4/16/98 THE "WISDOM" OF THE "WISE" Watching the ongoing slaughter of the mafia crims on ACRT, I am pondering over the "investing prudence".... ....Abandoned by law, even at the time of a wide national exposure, a handful of ACRT shareholders battled the internet mafia for months --all alone. The most "prudent" investors walked away. Some were staying by, watching the brawl from the sidelines. Even when the mafia was losing the ground, even when it appeared to be positively defeated, they continued to watch.... calculating wisely the time to join and to get for sure their piece of pie.... Today, when the mafia slaughter has eventually began, they are carefully joining and think in vexation, damn.... already +3 3/16.... Cara, Mi dispiace, Signorina, ma stalking her felineness around SI just isn't me. Oh that there were the time to follow la bella gato throughout the many threads upon which she has her mojo woikin', my life would be complete. If you peruse the Rational Analyst, you'll see some recent dialogue between Rainier Trinidad and yours truly - not enough time for much else. If you haven't already checked him out, do so. He is a knowledgeable, erudite, self effacing breath of fresh air amidst so much stale opinion. Other than Signorina Gato, of course, if I were able to read only two regular contributors to SI, they would be Rainier and Iqbal Latif, whose grasp of the big picture is as astounding as his generosity of ideas(even if he is a reconstructed bull).
