Bob,

I think maybe you unfairly characterize Jeff as the purveyor of the "new paradigm" theory. I don't think he said that; he merely said it was foolish to stand in front of the onrushing train of the greatest bull market in history. In rereading his message, I didn't see any claims that it wouldn't ever end, or that it wouldn't crash.

I seem to learn all my lessons the hard way. I spent some time in Las Vegas and played the craps tables. Experienced hands told me never to bet against the dice when they were hot. Being the logical person I am, I knew the odds were against continued strong runs so I bet the odds. I lost. When the cards and dice run against you, take your money off the table. Same thing here. When the market runs against you, take your money off the table.
