I was a strong buyer today in good old American Barrick. Haven't had a position in it in 20 years. I didn't buy it because they're mining costs are low, I bought it anent to my comments elsewhere. The simple fact is that the world is inflating and gold is the only uninflated thing on the planet. The last asset to inflate in a supercycle is gold and if everyone wants to steal from everyone else's pocket via beggar-thy-neighbor compensation increases, I'm going to steal it back by holding gold paper.

As far as this nonsense about the Bank Des Bunde or other trivia like the EU, you gotta be kidding yourselves. That is irrelevant. Those countries are essentially socialistic and therefore their currencies are junk. What is relevant is the dollar. It's making a downside breakout against most currencies even those ruled by plutocrats while Wall Street is looking straight up for the Pie-in-the-Sky. It's great to be alone and let the world discover how clever you are to admit the obvious.
