Here is a question to all,who care to take a stab at the answer. I have been aware for awhile that, generally when the bid number(size) of shares Xsh is higher than the ask number(size) of shares Xsh the price of a stock will go up. I have had this discussion or seen it discussed on a various threads and it's amazing how many different answers and evaluations result. I think I have finally gotten it straight in my mind, but am curious to the answers this gets.It seems simple enough,but....
1) what does the bid size number represent? buyers, sellers
2) what does the bid price represent, buy, sell, etc?
3) what is best bid price?
4) what does the ask size number represent? buyers, sellers
5) what does the ask price represent-best highest/lowest etc.?
6) what is best ask price?
7) what does the bid/ask relationship represent? and what can one
estimate/predict from this relationship? And your the reasons for your assumptions? TIA DD (no cheating or peeking-you will be graded on the clarity of your answer-you may pick up your pencils and begin.....<vbg>)
