Late night news release.....NEC to distribute Iomega's Clik! drives - Reuters - 9:07 pm

ROY, Utah, April 21 (Reuters) - NEC Corp (6701.T) (NIPNY - news) of Japan has agreed to help develop Iomega's Clik! drives for handheld and portable computers.
Under terms of a non-exclusive preliminary agreement, NEC would make and sell the drives to worldwide retail channels and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The drives are used to store information for mobile computer products, like digital cameras and handheld personal computers.

Shares of Iomega rose 3/8 to 7-7/8 in heavy NYSE trading, with the stock one of the top 10 most active issues. Over 2.5 million shares had traded at midday.
