Decci,

10 POSSIBLE Reasons for TRIBY going up:

1.) Move to Dublin and positive tax benefits (10%)
2.) Continued positive earnings after YEARS in the red. (.02 is better than -.02)
3.) Any bio-tech company making a profit is attracting interest.
4.) Positive resolution to court case seems VERY POSSIBLE
5.) Possible buy-out or takeover candidate (Dublin has had visitors?, can anyone confirm this?) A $5 or $6 a share offer would not be unreasonable to expect for a buy-out.
6.) Massive money pouring into Small Caps WITH VALUE right now.
7.) Possible increase in insider trading.
8.) Success with new product tests.
9.) Market Makers want it to go up.
10.) The Company has a cool name and is in Ireland.

Anyone of these could be true and could drive this stock up by themselves, and IMHO, probably several of them are true. We, as holders of this stock, especially long term holders should feel fortunate that the REST OF THE WORLD is coming around to discovering what we've known for a long time. Now the trick will be to be HOLDING our shares as TRIBY does start to go to $3 and then $4 etc., and not selling out. Patience will pay off with TRIBY!

Good Luck Tribites!

The run up is really miniscule $ wise. The story I think really lies in the volume. A stock like triby is not really driven by earnings it is what people call a story stock ( perceived future earnings ). I think there is some anouncement coming out and I don't think it is FDA approval of the unigold hiv thing either. I think the approval will be linked to a licensing agreement with a biggee. Remember JNJ does not have such a test niether does the big gorrilla Abbot or MRK.

We used to hold stock in a co. called calgene (lost 16K ) when it was acquired by monsanto Calgene's stock was 22 dollars and all they had anounced was their bionic tomatoe which never flew. People just thought it would go and bought into the hoax (ourselves included).
Nowadays earnings don't mean diddly, just look at any high flying stock that is internet related who is making any money? very very few.

Again volume is speaking volumes. There are people with money who have runners . These runners work for triby or MRK or whoever and they feed information to their contacts who in turn generate the volume. This is normally called inside information but it is pretty hard to prove. At 2+ dollars a share one can afford to place a 40k share trade by breaking it up into 2k or 4k blocks without attracting attention and without driving the price up either. I think the volume is therefore concentrated into a handful of buyers. I look at quote.com and I notice that the larger blocks (4k+or -) are most of thimes at the ask. This tells me that the buyers are not fly by night looking for a 1/16 or 32nd difference but rather want to execute before the "news " breaks and don't want to miss out on the stock getting away from them.

I hope this helps.

I personally think that once triby makes any sort of a headline i.e. FDA approval with fanfare the stock will be in the teens in a matter of days.

Like I have posted before , our daughter who is in the medical field says this h pylori is a big money maker but out here in the third world known as oroville calif nobody has even heard of it. What I think may be a news item on the major networks about the hiv test will trigger the move. I too hope.
