Perry, If you are talking about the dollar dropping against other currencies, most investors would view this as bullish for IBM. If not,please let me know what you mean by "DOLLAR INDEX". TIA, Scott

Sorry, but you are WRONG in this. Traditionally IBM is reorgani-
zing its customer-set over the branches in the first few months of the
years. I am working for the company for 28 years now and must recognize a trend by now.
- 1Q : low
- 2Q : startup sales
- 3Q : So so due to vacations
- 4Q : Booming (we must meet our targets)

A lower dollar-index is very bullish for Armonk (World Trade), because
as a country we have to pay our royalties in dollars. A better exchange rate from point of view. More $$$ in absolute numbers.
