While I agree that there will be a serious correction in the market and it will effect this "bubble" sector...I believe it is an open question how much and how quick the bounce back. When a company is doubling revenues each quarter, as seek is doing, profits will follow. This is a growth industry on a scale that has not been seen before. A fellow faculty member and I last night were trying to figure out how the 300 billion figure by 2002 was worked out. Skeptical, at first, think of 100,000,000 people buying a $10 shirt. (1 billion) -- Now think of 10,000,000 companies buying 10 thousand dollar computers. Start adding it up and it's going to happen soon, if not 2002 then 2004

It's being built and they will come. Even if the market "corrects" AND in addition, we all have no idea what corrections mean in a global hemeostatic economy. Does a collapse in Asia mean a general collapse or does it mean growth in Brazil six months later. The system may be totally different in it's economic functioning than it has been for the last 250 years. Maybe - Maybe not -- But as for me Give me a half full glass over a pessimistic view. I'm building an Internet Portfolio. My IBNL can drop 40% today and I'm still ahead of the game.
And it's a perfect example of why it and SEEK are going to be much bigger in 5 years than today.
IBNL saves a FORTUNE in redundant paperwork....SEEK save wasted information search time.

THE NET IS not only a communications tool -- It is a huge productivity gainer.
