Maxwell, I'm more concerned why Compaq is only seling the AMD 233 at radio shack. There is no AMD 266 offering nor AMD 300... Instead CPQ has a Pentium II 300 offering. What do you suppsoe is going on??

More good news for AMD: SUPER 7 IS HERE From Anand's Hardware page, anandtech.com April 21, 6:13 PM SUPER 7 IS HERE I'm running a K6 - 300 at 100 x 3.0, without ANY problems at all...here's something to keep you amazed at what AMD in combination with VIA (MVP3) has been able to achieve, at this setting the K6-300 gets a Business Winstone 97 score of 66.2! That is dead on the mark when compared to a Pentium II - 300, here we go...finally, some competition from AMD. I'm overclocking the chip now...more later... Today, 4/22 he says he's running the K6-300 at 350MHz, it would probably run faster, but the Super 7 mobo lacks some voltage settings. Anand is testing a vanilla K6. The K6-3D has some core improvements (probably L1 cache) which speed it up 10% or so, even WITHOUT the 3D Windows 95 drivers due in a few months. Petz
