Paul - $2 cash per share, are you kidding! When the stock was at 5 and the company had over $3 in cash, we used to have hard time convincing people to buy this stock. Things has changed, you say, as we have here a new company with star quality products, you might say. But, where is the money? Show me the money! As I wrote before, with the major changes in Borland (changes that were forced upon me as I didn't buy the stock to start with, with these changes in mind) I look upon BORL as an IPO. This quarter's earnings did nothing to satisfy my hope (I'm still long with my very core position). Comparing a quarter with a year ago quarter is almost like cheating. We all know that last year's same quarter was used as a sink to dump all the dirt lying around in it. As for the many momentum players that bought BORL recently based on TA, these people won't hesitate to dump this stock when they see a greener land somewhere else. The market is full of them and even I, I'm playing often their game (if you can't them, join them). In fact, with the proliferance of cheap commision trading on the internet, they affected the whole nature of trading/investing. Fundamentals became at the mercy of analysts who often upgrade or downgrade stocks for manipulation purposes. Yes, I understand the game that is going on and I am taking advantage of it very successfully I might add. But, I'm hanging on to BORL at this moment for one reason, I like Del's style and hope it will pay very generousely in years to come (I'm already up a lot on my core -- actually over 100%). So, let the stock do what ever it wants for now, and let the herds dump leaving only the believers. Ghassan.
