SOM, Avid manufactures Video and film related post production products. The flagship box is a digital video non-linear editing system that is to editing what Kleenex is to runny noses. Avid has the majority of the market share. The systems range from $10,000 to over $250, 000. The flagship Media Composer Systems are MAC based. They currently offer a lower end model that runs on NT. They have just announced the development of an uncompressed top quality system that will run on an NT Box. (Sidebar: The majority of the existing customer base---I'm one of them-- is NOT happy with the move to NT and this could cause problems if they decide not to stay with Avid on the high end systems). Avid also sells other professional film and video related products. Hope this helps. Tony
