Re: Time is On Our Side Thomas, you wrote:"... if RATL meets the EPS expectations and produces a decent outlook -which I assume they will, then time is on the side of the patient longer term holder, IMO." I'm inclined to agree. I think the 'Overhead Resistance' to which Jackson referred may have contributed considerable downward pressure during the recent past. RATL has been a disappointment to those who look for rapid appreciation. In a market environment where many other stocks have been soaring, RATL looks like 'dead money'. So there are many who prefer to shift into other stocks, and will use any small increase as an opportunity to get out. At some point the great majority of those who want out will be out. The overhead resistance will have been eroded away, and upward movement will be much easier. When will that time come?--Uh, I dunno. In spite of this resistance to upward movement, RATL's price has been slowly creeping up. So Someone is buying. Who? I suspect it's long-term, value-oriented investors. Individuals and Institutions who are more interested in next year and the year after than "Will the price double next week?" These will not be so quick to sell, and will provide what the stock needs to move through resistance and higher. All just My VHO, of course, and I'm sure no stock maven. Just a simple grrl trying to figure out this investing thing as I go along. Other opinions, correction and criticism welcome! regards, diana <<Off Topic >>> I feel I should respond publicly to the allusions concerning my age cast by the Cruel Trevor. In truth I may be a tiny bit older than stated in my profile, but I can easily pass for 23 in dim light. My actual age cannot be exactly determined since the wolves who raised me did not keep records. d
